Buchan is a small town and accommodation options are limited however there's more than enough camping for a true nature lover's experience. Please prioritise camping locations and leave indoor accommodation available for the ones that really need it.
Apart from accommodation directly in Buchan there are many close locations should you wish.
Nowa Nowa is 25min away, SIBA Retreat is 25min away, Lakes Entrance is located 45min away and Bairnsdale is just under an hour away.
Buchan Caves campground
The campground offers 41 powered sites and 20 unpowered sites, each accommodating up to six people. Campground facilities include hot showers, toilets, a laundry, a camper’s kitchen and electric and wood fired barbecues. Advanced bookings and payment are required year-round.
Camping has been confirmed in the North wing at Buchan Caves Campground with powered and unpowered sites.

Caves House
Caves House is the former residence of the Moon family who ran tours of Buchan Caves in the early 1900s. Stay a night in the historic residence with all linen provided. Take in the views over the Buchan River and explore all Buchan Caves Reserve has to offer. This is the only site within the reserve where dogs are permitted. Dogs can be walked along the Buchan River Flat and into the township but are not permitted past Caves House into the reserve.
